About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To further my obsession with rhythm and culture.

ABOUT ME

Friendly, polite and easy-going. I'm a full-time drumset instructor looking for ways to expand my technique and perspective palette. I've dedicated the rest of my life towards my obsession with rhythm and dance culture, making me curious and passionate about immersing myself in communities that are not my own.

PHILOSOPHY

I once lived by making every day as eventful as possible. Now I need to find ways to unplug from the lifestyle I've setup and get some perspective for the future.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Looking for familiar connections in my field in unfamiliar places.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just getting started, but so far, lots of potential! :)

Interests

Brazilian and Middle-Eastern food, music, customs, rituals and traditions. I've recently taken a liking towards Hip-Hop and House dancing as well, and would like to delve further study into its history. The way I present myself tends to follow my geographical endeavors. My recent trip to Istanbul has left me sipping chai in my downtime and dressing "more European," I'm told.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Played a show for the gorgeous Fatih University on the European side of Istanbul, and then took a ferry to the Asian side to play another that evening. The weather and my top-floor flat also made for a breathtaking view of the city. Now I've got the travel bug... BAD!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can definitely share tokens of wisdom when it comes to the geography of rhythm. I would like to learn more about the food, language and history of where these rhythms come from. But I'm not all strictly music! I also love people and sharing intellectually stimulating conversation.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Philippines, Turkey, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
