I have always found that the best travel experiences are shared experiences and so rather than be on my own I hope to visit friends and couchsurf.

As you might expect, I take a keen interest in beer and international politics, so sampling a few of the local beers whilst discussing the state of the world sounds like my ideal way to spend an evening!

I'm quite musical and played quite seriously in bands until I was 19. Sadly it seems like those days are behind me now.

I enjoy watching sport, so love the opportunity to take in a local sporting event.

I probably listen to more 60s & 70s pop/rock than anything else, but like a bit of blues, jazz, folk, bluegrass, afrobeat, hip hop, post-rock, klezmer... anything really.

A desire to get as much out of the place I'm visiting as I can, which can also allow the hosts to experience the place they live in a new way.

Hopefully some interesting conversation and some music and maybe even some beers from my brewery.
