I'm a guy who likes trying new things, meeting new people, and seeing new places. I play ultimate frisbee, I love to hike, I'm a big fan of nature and cities and cooking and eating and beer.

I'm a very competitive guy--I like pretty much any game, from card playing to sports to beer chugging.

Been in Houston about a year and a half now -- looking forward to showing travelers the cool spots around my city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted in Tucson, Houston. Surfed in Thessaloniki, Istanbul, Rio de Janeiro, Santiago, Buenos Aires. great experiences!

Books: science fiction (Wolfe, LeGuin, Card, Simmons, Heinlein are favorites), Spanish literature (Garcia Marquez, Borges, Bolano), nonfiction good reads (Gladwell, Michael Lewis)

Music: Radiohead, Daft Punk, a wide range of Canadian indie (don't ask me why I like it, I just do!)

Movies: I watch a ton of movies from big blockbusters to indies. Favorite directors are the Coen Brothers.

I can teach geology, debate, literature, basic Spanish. I know how to cook tacos as well. I also know a ton about the NBA--let's see if that ever pays off!
