Hello fellow Couchsurfer,

My names Tegan! I currently live in Calgary, Canada; and am originally from Australia. I thought I was going to be in Canada for 6 months max, but now I've been here for over 4 years - opps! I'm 25 years old, and live with my incredible boyfriend Lev in Renfrew; a suburb less than 5 minutes from downtown Calgary, that's not far from the hustle and bustle, yet still feels like you live in secluded natural oasis far away from it all. We absolutely love it here. I run my own online coaching business and teach/coach/support other incredible human beings in the subtle yet powerful art of living life as who you really are. I love the freedom and limitless potential of living life on your own terms. My boyfriend and I both love to travel, and our most frequently visited location as of recently has been Montreal in Canada. Our visas were a little all over the place for a while there, so we're been enjoying exploring this lovely country before we put our feet in the soils of all the other countries and explore the rest of the world. Some of my favourite hobbies include cooking, reading, hiking, gym, floating in the river, any type of swimming or water related activities, attending music festivals or concerts, baths, random arts and craft activities and trying out local restaurants and cafes.

Now here's an introduction from my boyfriend Lev:

Hey - I'm Lev, I've been living in Calgary for the past few years. I moved to Calgary from Russia a few years ago to complete my education at the University of Calgary. I graduated last year, and since finishing school - I wrapped up my job of 4 years at Suncor as a Data Scientist to take some time to explore new things. I'm currently dedicated to day trading, and have been learning so much. Like Tegan, I love the freedom of living life on my own terms, and day trading is giving me the opportunity to not only remain independent and the 'boss' of my own life, but I've also been learning so much about my relationship with myself. Some of my hobbies include cooking (I'm a huge foodie), gym, bike riding, reading and chilling in cafes.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I'm on couch surfing as I love the idea of this community so much! The opportunity to meet other people from all over the world, provide a place to stay for fellow travellers and have the opportunity to stay with other fellow couch surfers just sounds like a win-win-win to me and my boyfriend Lev. I have created this account on behalf of both myself and my boyfriend Lev.

Some of my favourite movies include the Batman Triology by Christopher Nolan (my favourite director), LaLa Land, Interstellor, and Everything Everywhere All At Once.

Music wise I love a mixture of beats - from Rufus Du Soul to Glass Animals to What So Not and anything around or inbetween.

I love reading Allan Watts, Deepak Chopra, David Gobbins (what a savage), Miguel Ruiz, Abraham Hicks and so much more. I'm a big reader!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

It's hard to say - moving to Canada all by myself knowing no one was pretty amazing to me! I was also in the Australian Army for 3 years which was an amazing and challenging adventure.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Honestly, I'm sure I have so much to share - but I can't think of much off the top of my head. I love woodwork and building furniture (I call it Tegan's dodgy jobs lol), cooking all the foods, Human Design and all things self discovery etc. We could chat about anything and everything from philosophy all the way to favourite type of noodles. We'd have so much to learn and share with one another I'm sure!

We have a lovely quaint two bedroom apartment. The 2nd bedroom is more like a broom cupboard so we transform our living room into a lovely bedroom space just for you. We have an incredible queen size blow up matress, two cuddly cats, a beautiful outdoor balcony, bikes which you're welcome to borrow and a kitchen which you can use as your own. This is a cozy place, but so homey and warm.
