ABOUT ME

My name is Tehya and I'm a third-year student studying psychology and Spanish. I like cats, small children, gorgeous sunsets, and waking up really early to go on trips just to get the feeling right!
I'm a really laid back sort of person. I'm originally from Minnesota and I absolutely love the state and pretty much everything about it. I'm in love with the month of summer and there is nothing I enjoy more than walking barefoot in a skirt through puddles and mud in the warm weather. I'm kind of shy sometimes but I'm really trying to get over that.

PHILOSOPHY

Experience as much as you can and never lose sight of who you are, even though the more you grow and learn realize that even your identity could be subject to change. Love openly. Take interest in the world around you.

I'm pretty new to this whole thing. Once I get more permanent of a residence I would love to host.

I haven't hosted ever, but I've met a couple of surfers and have had a blast.

Interests

I really like curling up with a good book and that interest is one that will probably never change. I love traveling and seeing new places. I love to talk with people, find out what they're about and what they're doing and how they're doing it. I enjoy building forts using all the cushions in my abode and climbing trees and dreaming about what it would be like to walk in clouds. I also like making people smile. Walking dogs and just being around them.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favorite movies include: Waking Life, Fight Club, Anchorman, Planet Terror, Eagle Vs. Shark, 10 Things I Hate About You, But I'm a Cheerleader. . .

I love to read. The Great Gatsby is one of my all time favorites. I can eat good books in a matter of days. Stephen King obsessed. :)

Some of my favorite bands are: Modest Mouse, Cloud Cult, Regina Spektor, Paul Baribeau, Defiance Ohio, Tilly and the wall, Tegan and Sara, Neko Case, Caroline Smith and the Good Night Sleeps.. and anything that I can crazy dance to. (:

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I've done with my life so far is worked at a summer camp this past summer. I'm addicted to it, living and breathing for a cabin-full of children is how I hope to be spending a lot more summers to come.

Also, I spent a semester living and studying in Costa Rica and Nicaragua and it was absolutely life changing. I can't wait to go back.
