I've been grooving to Habib Koite & Bamada the last few days and I'm currenetly reading Bill Bryson's book: A Short History of Nearly Everything. Some favorite books are the Prophet by Kabril Gibran, the Tao Te Ching, and the I Ching. I also listen to St Germaine, Massive Attack, White Stripes, Badly Drawn Boy, Neutral Milk Hotel, Kings of Leon, Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros, Gomez, DBB, Cake, and more. As far as movies, I recently saw Kung Fu Hustle and Chronicles of Narnia. I thought they both rocked! Kill Bill, Crouching Tiger, Killing Zoe sp?, Seven Samurai, Dual at Kenryu Island (Samurai III) are also some favorites.
