Hey!
I'm Teman. I'm a 24 yo French guy.
My friends say I’m an easygoing, open minded, fun and artsy person. With 2 retired artists as parents, I fell in love with arts as a kid (dance, drawing, piano, guitar, saxophone,… ). After 15 years in dance studios, music school, conservatory, I finally decided not to pursue art as a career and I started to study architecture (which honestly is kinda still is art). But my architectural formation has been influenced a lot by my years of art classes. From time to time I give dance classes or attend my former teachers classes but architecture school really takes 99% of my time, my thoughts and my energy. The 1% left is dedicated to travelling, meeting people, reading and learning everything I can about pretty much anything.

Right now I’m on an Exchange program in Belgium for 6 Months. It‘s the second time I leave abroad since I left the familial cocoon. The first time was as an au-pair in Latvia in 2017 where I lived for a year when I was 18. There I discovered couchsurfing.com thanks to my roommate and during the year we hosted a lot of people from all over the world. It was really fun, I loved it. I didn’t really get to use it as a traveller yet but I’ll take the chance when the opportunity comes!

Julia (my ex roommate ) is the reason I’m on couchsurfing !
She hosted many travellers as we were living together and we always had a great time with them. Then I created the account thinking it would be more visitors and more fun but they would always go with her account (she had a way nicer profile resume than I did and more reviews, I didn’t stand a chance ;))
Through her and our visitors I discovered that travelling the world with people, with locals, with unexpected friends is way more interesting and richer. It helps seeing the places as they are and avoid to fall in the illusions and imaginaries of the cities we are travelling in. I don’t need fantasies and imaginary stories when I can have real stories, real experiences!

4754 km in 10 days in a van with 6 other persons… From France to Switzerland via Belgium, Germany, Austria Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Italy.
Was really fun. Would definitely not do it again x)

The time I hosted a radio show in Venezia with 5 friends for the international biennial of architecture for 7 days.
Was fun. Would do it again!
