To see my kids safely into adulthood- and beyond! And retain my sanity while I am at it! Also, to take advantage of every opportunity to experience the wonder this world has to offer!

ABOUT ME

I am a hardworking and busy wife, mother, friend and employee! I have 3 beautiful kids, a wonderful husband, and a job that allows me to meet people from all over the country. I am always open to lend a sympathetic ear, offer advice (on subjects I know, of course), and help out any way I can. I don't like it when people think they are "entitled" to success- it is something you strive for, work hard to obtain, and feel blessed to share with others.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is what you make it. You can have happiness in the worst of circumstances, or despair in the midst of prosperity. It's your choice.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been out of the couch surfing scene for a couple of years: home remodeling, family obligations, etc., etc. But I am ready to ease back in to things, and hopefully will get to meet some fellow travelers. My daughter is also an avid couch surfer, and you can also check out her page, as well (Kaitlyn Griffin, Pinson, AL).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have hosted a variety of travelers in our home- single voyagers from the good ole USA, couples from far across the sea, and even a family of 4 on a cross-country road trip! My daughter and I surfed with a wonderful host in England on our mother-daughter adventure in 2013, and made a friend for life!

Interests

I love to travel and explore new places. I didn't have the opportunity much as a child, so I plan to make up for it as an adult! I love reading, going to plays and movies, and checking out museums, zoos, etc. Although I don't like to cook much myself, I definitely like trying new cuisine from different areas. I love it when our surfers share their "family recipes" with us!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a sucker for old 80's movies. And I admit to a penchant for historical romance in my reading material, although I like a little bit of everything on that front. My music tastes are varied... I find something new I like almost everyday.
