About Me

Free spirit, trying to make sense of things. I'm a huge nature lover, very outdoorsy and I also have a great love for animals; I am active in animal welfare, fostering and rehoming unwanted animals because I've always felt a very strong connection to all forms of life.

At the moment I'm very interested in the study of shamanic methods of healing. I'd love to share thoughts and experiences on the subject with anyone that has the same inclination.

Oh and I also sell hammocks :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Just joined, as me and my boyfriend are planning to do some travelling. Figured it would be cool to meet new people, learn and share, explore the world with the help of interesting folks.

Fun facts: we sell hammocks and we're both dj's :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy reading the work of authors such as Carlos Castaneda, Mircea Elade, Michael Harner, Feodor M. Doestoievsky, Ilf and Petrov,

In terms of music, i enjoy anything that tickles my ear buds; ranging from electronic music such as techno, tekno, breakbeat, bigbeat, dnb, to triphop, oldschool hiphop and all the way to bossa nova, funk and traditional music from all across the globe.

I used to be a movie fanatic when i was younger; now, not so much. I do enjoy films quite a lot. I prefer the artsy side of filmmaking and i'm usually drawn to slow paced movies that are packed with atmospherics. A movie i find really engaging is Gaspar Noe's Enter the Void; i also enjoy the movies of Q. Tarantino, S. Kubrik, Lars Von Trier, Pie Paoplo Pasolini and so on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Made an impact while working at the dog shelter in my hometown as a volunteer; I was the first one and managed to bring a lot more people in to contribute and help the animals. I don't know if that counts as amazing but for me, it was a very special thing.
