Some tips and tricks to get accepted:

- Carefully read the profile information of a potential host. If it says two nights, it means - two nights.
- Critically evaluate your profile picture. Should I accept someone whose face I cannot clearly see? Or, there are five people in one picture, so how should I know who is the one?
- People appreciate us for being hospital. Fair enough, we treat our guests with highest respect. My husband cooks delicious foods, and most of the time I offer very good wines. But it also happens that the guests take everything for granted. The nicest guests always ask how can they help us (for instance, with setting the table for a dinner); some guests are only waiting till everything is set and cooked and they are invited for a dinner :)
- We never take money for the stay. This is how the couchsurfing works. But the nicest guests always think of contributing at least symbolically to the table, a small treat or a drink. Because they eat with us and they can use everything without reservations. Other guests would still use everything, and, on the top of this, would make coffee only for themselves! :)

Now about me:

Beside to my work, I am a life enjoyer and traveler. I love good food and wine. I cannot travel the whole time due to my work responsibilities, thus I would like to sometimes host people myself (with my Dutch husband, who is also a great cook!). Meeting people - is always an adventure, so there is no need to say that I am curious to meet intelligent, interesting and educated people, having something to say about the world. Therefore, I prefer hosting people of my age. Really. Because I'd also like to "gain" something from meaningful conversations. It's not a students' hostel and I hope you can appreciate that. 2 nights is max.
