ABOUT ME

I've come to a point in my life when I realize how transit we are and to meet as many people as possible is definitely something on my agenda. Especially, if meeting people is something like a personal drug. What really made me to create a profile, though, is an Australian guy I've met recently. He told me that he traveled the world by gift. Note, not by car, by bike, by plane or foot "by gift"! I liked the expression soooo much. I wish to you and to myself to do it and travel by gift.

PHILOSOPHY

Buddha's teachings probably, but I am still so far from the equanimity. Now, if I have to seriously describe what I believe in I have to quote an author I have discovered recently. His name is Roger Ebert and really touched me:
"I had a photograph of Brendan Behan on the wall, and under it this quotation, which I memorized:
I respect kindness in human beings first of all, and kindness to animals. I don't respect the law; I have a total irreverence for anything connected with society except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer.
That does a pretty good job of summing it up and covers all of my political beliefs. No need to spell them out. I believe that if, at the end, according to our abilities, we have done something to make others a little happier, and something to make ourselves a little happier, that is about the best we can do. To make others less happy is a crime. To make ourselves unhappy is where all crime starts. We must try to contribute joy to the world. That is true no matter what our problems, our health, our circumstances. We must try. I didn't always know this and am happy I lived long enough to find it out."

I can literally offer my couch to you. Unfortunately, my flat is not big therefore I can accommodate only one person, for not more than two consecutive nights. In addition I can show you Sofia and give you tips and counseling about traveling in Bulgaria.

I have many - I mentioned about meeting people. Apart from that I love listening to music, reading and going to the cinema and eating good food. However, conversations are something I am addicted to. So exploring people is as interesting as exploring countries and continents. Have you ever thought that countries and continents without people and their history would be something without content?

I would love to travel. Still, I cannot find the time and means to do it as much as I want. The last place I visited was Macedonia in December last year.

That will be difficult, I have created a movie list in IMDB and it is like 160 titles long. Maybe going by directors will be easier: Tarantino, Christopher Nolan, Daniel Boyle, Matthew Vaughn, Tony Scott, Guy Ritchie, Pedro Almodovar, Andy Wachowski, Lana Wachowski, Paul Haggis, and so many others. As for the books, I love American literature, my favorite author is Salinger. I love listening to good music from 60s to nowadays. At the moment I am in a house mood.

Living in UK, I guess. I am not sure that this was amazing but it did change me a lot and it was the best time in my life.
