About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy life!

ABOUT ME

I am a wanderer - I can spend hours sitting in a tree thinking. I enjoy life reduced to bare essentials, sleeping under the stars and not worrying.

I'm back on the road, so can only host you besides me in the million star hotel. Just bring your sleeping bag.

Traveling is not about seeing it. It is about feeling it. Explore, have adventure, learn, teach, experience, LIVE! This is what I stand by.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is to be lived. Enjoy it as much as you can and spread goodness around you. Be kind and listen to your good heart. Even if there aren't wise people around you, you can still learn from them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Was hitchhiking in Zanzibar and fell asleep. I wake up, and I am sure that the driver has already passed Stone Town, where I wanted to get off. I tap him on the shoulder and ask him to let me out. He looks at me in a funny way but complies. I get out of the car. I realize I got out 10km BEFORE Stone Town. What a goofer. I start walking towards Stone Town, but because one of my flip-flops is broken all the locals are laughing at me - a white man, a mzungu, walking through a slum suburb with only one shoe?! what is this... But a guy decided to walk me through the slum, visit his friends there, show me his hut, grab a tangawizi together and show me the way through a maze of huts into Stone Town. I did the route with one flip-flop on.
