29 Years together with my husband and we have a son who is almost 18 years old. Traveled a lot since 1989 but the last years less. I quit my job as a civil servant in 2004 after 12 years fulltime working as for example an office manager of the fraude team of Twente and as the Centre of Arts in our city.
I love socializing , gardening (I started and managed a few years a local 2500 m2 vegetable and fruitgarden and we won the Volunteer Price of our district with it) snorkeling, swimming, the sea, sauna, wellness, tai chi, yoga, dogs (we have 3 labradoodles), traveling, biking, "conspiracies" and some basic esotheric things

My philosophy:

Everyone thinks they know, but they still don't know. I who don't know don't think I know either. As a result, I seem to know more than the person who thinks to know : because I don't think I know what I don't know... ;-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My husband and I are 50+ but we still feel like 25 (although we have our little problems) and we love to meet new people and with closed purse it is the best way ever. To meet each other and make new nice memories!

We also are members in our town at the "exchange-circle" where we do everything with closed purse. So we meet many people and learn from eachother and with couchsurfing we can go further abroad with that.

Dutch cooking like potatoepancakes with sugar or "stampot"or "humkessoep"

Learn: more sailing? we got the love for sailing at our 2 weeks catamaran sail journey in august 2003 with a 12 member crew sailing from Denmark to Norway and Sweden and back to Denmark. In 2020 we learned it in a few days in a Valk and 1 time we sailed 4 hours together alone in a little Valk-sailboot but we would love to learn to sail a catamaran for example.
