some trips: walked the appalachian trail (2174 miles), then wandered in india on a human kindness experiment (www.hke.blogspot.com). Sailed new zealand to japan, then overland through china to tibet over the himalayas to nepal and back to india. also overland from egypt to austria once. and overland/sea from japan to siberia, mongolia, china, laos, thailand once. in summer 2012 went overland/sea from Guinea to Lisbon. summer 2013 rode my motorcycle from Lisbon to Copenhagen, via Venice.

Now I'm all the time in the universes of mathematics, finding the next thing. My family's 500-yr old motto translates to: "accustomed to swear in the name of no master."
