About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Improve my Spanish, improve my English(-teaching), live life fuller and get more "go"s.

ABOUT ME

Childhood smart kid, chronic slacker. After finishing my degree, I decided to move to Seville, Spain for a year, in search of independence, confidence, better Spanish skills and a better "me".

PHILOSOPHY

"Barriga llena, corazón contento". Lessons from a hungry first week in Seville, struggling to adjust to the accent and pace of Sevillano Spanish, and near-total business shutdown during siesta hours: don't be afraid to look foolish, or ask for help.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None so far.

Interests

Languages (Spanish/Castellano at the moment), food, chilling with friends and guitars, in or out, quiet or loud. Good music, laid-back warm nights with cold beer, or cold nights with good scotch.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sunset on the cliffs at the southernmost point of Mexico.
Riding a boat out to a dive/snorkel spot, getting caught in a freak storm and almost getting hit by lightning.

Teach, Learn, Share

Working as an English language assistant, I can help with, of course, English. I am functional in Spanish and always learning, conversational in my parents' native Cantonese, and have a *tiny* bit of Mandarin and German from high school. I used to do some breakdancing, and play guitar casually. I'm happy to share what I know, and learn what I don't.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, China, England, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Mexico, Spain
