About Me

Hey there! I'm Terry (some call me Terr - you figure the pronunciation), a citizen of a small big sunny country at the tip of Africa - you guessed it - South Africa! I'd say I'm a pretty chilled, outgoing, but also nerdy type of guy - just short of being a walking encyclopedia these days.
I'm pretty enthusiastic about a wide range of things, mainly architecture/engineering, photography, but also high-tech, astronomy, and newly economics, amongst others.
Travel is my 'raison d'etre', well, besides sharing all this love I have in me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Simply, to meet people! I'm always fascinated by the stories people hold! We humans are a beautiful species! Also, I like to party and dance - so, let's do more of that, on every corner of this beautiful world!

Interests

Having studied architecture, i'd have to say buildings are interests, and associated subjects like urbanism, etc.
In other aspects, I'm a sports junkie, playing (actually played) hockey and athletics, and an avid spectator of rugby, soccer and cricket. Besides sports, I read a lot, and do a lot of photography.

Music, Movies, and Books

Let's say, this sums it - Coldplay (that moment you're at their concert, and everybody is in sync, swaying side to side, oozing happiness and love, and you stop for a moment to realise how beautiful life is (or could be))
Move - hhmmm, tough one, would give up to Gravity (for now - it changes)
Books - no favourites, I like em all! (besides the boring ones of course)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Displaying humanity - in various manners.

Teach, Learn, Share

Stories, souvenirs, food - yes, food!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I always take books with me - so, I'll prolly leave you one, with a personal message, and why exactly that book.
