ABOUT ME

Since trying to be an adult, I've got a politics degree, traveled about a bit, lost a billion mobile phones, learned to be a croupier, volunteered in Palestine and killed every plant I've ever tried to grow!

PHILOSOPHY

We're here for a good time, not a long time!

I try to be non-judgemental and expect to be treated similarly.

I'd rather have two minutes of wonderful than a lifetime of nothing special

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had any official couch surfing experiences, but I was invited to stay with the man who sat next to me on my flight to Cuba. I ended up living with him, his family and his brother for almost a fortnight, and had the best time eating beans and drinking rum.

Interesses

I like going out and meeting people. Love a good night out drinking and dancing despite my terrible co-ordination! I love to go see new art shows, food trucks, concerts, all that culturally hipster shit.

I love to cook and can make a damn fine yorkshire pudding! I like reading, and have been known to turn up an hour or two late for work because I was so engrossed in a book.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

I love man-movies, guns, drugs, car chases, bring it on! Scarface, Goodfellas, Le Dobermann, The Godfather, Point Break, Four Brothers. Cheesy 90's action films like Demolition Man, Escape from New York and shockingly, Escape from LA.

In Bruges, The Blues Brothers, Seth Rogen movies & Bad Words. I'm also a bit of a sucker for teenchick flicks, Dirty Dancing, The Hunger Games, 10 Things I Hate about You, Hairspray, 17 Again etc. (Closet Zac Efron fan)

Books: My favourite authors are Charles Buckowski, Richard Laymon, Emily Barr, Isabelle Allende, Bret Easton Ellis. But I read a lot, and will read almost anything anyone gives me.

Music: I like eighties rock, D&B, caribbean music, reggaeton, dancehall, salsa, bachata. Pretty easy going, anything at all will work.

It didn't seem like such a big deal at the time, but looking back, travelling to Venezuela, alone, without a word of Spanish and no plans at all was pretty amazing I think...Or ridiculously irresponsible...

I can cook you a pretty decent meal, help you drink your liquorand keep you regaled with crazy stories of crazy casino and hotel customers. With a bit of planning, I might do all this at once :)
