Hi, this is Terry, grew up in Hong Kong and Cape Town. I lived in Guernsey for a bit then Bermuda. Moved to Johannesburg 2019 and returned to Bermuda 2023.

Introvert at times, I enjoy being with others, but I also (or more so) enjoy being alone as well.

To meet new people, sight seeing as a normal tourist is never the same experience as being introduced the local culture by someone local. Seeing landmark is good but it is not as good as experiencing day to day life in a destination.

Couchsurfing gives me the opportunity to meet people and travel at the same time! Hosting and being hosted allows me to get more perspectives from others. Knowing other people can be a way of knowing yourself.

And Bermuda is expensive, hosting is a way of giving back for me personally.
