ABOUT ME

Prolific traveler.
South East Asia is my home away from home.Many times to Thailand.20+ times to Indonesia,20+ times to Malaysia.Other individual trips to Japan,Egypt,Vietnam,Singapore,Hong Kong,Cambodia.
I speak Malaysian/Indonesian (Bahasa speakers get preference) and happy to review the French I learnt at school during the 70's
If you know how to laugh you are most welcome to stay with me.

PHILOSOPHY

treat a TRUE friend as a brother and never betray that family trust.I have but only 1 hand for this reason, and I can count my true friends without resorting to hand number 2.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

During my numerous travels have had the honour of befriending those of various nationalities.My honour was repaid by those people I befriended overseas when those from the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark,made that looooong voyage to stay with me and to keep that friendship alive.
This being prior to joining CS
Now I seek new friends in new places whether I'm 'there' or you are 'here'

Relating to all nationalities. Breaking the 'communication barrier' whereby my host/s speak no English and I do not speak their native tongue (and we both do not refer to a phrasebook).
Forging new friendships through trust.
Learning the basics of the languages for the lands I visit.

Music? any............ You must enjoy music as it is on 24/7 at my home. TV is rarely switched on-the remote may work- not sure if the batteries are flat!!
Books?......... Travel,biographies...
Movies?.... don't go to the cinema..old farts fall asleep when they get comfortable
