Hi!
Welcome to Fukuoka! My name is Terumi and my husband Hiro and I are new to the Couchsurfing community!

I was born in Chiba and I grew up in Tokyo. I spent most of my 20s in Vancouver, Canada where I met my husband, Hiro. We moved to Fukuoka in 2016 and have been advocates of traveling around Japan. We have traveled to 85% of the country so we are very knowledgeable not just around Kyushu but the rest of Japan as well.

We are planning an around the world backpacking trip in early 2025, so we are eager to meet people from around the world!

We live in a 2 bedroom apartment about 10 mins away from the main subway line in a very convenient location. There is a big 24hr supermarket right in front of our house and a bunch of ramen shops nearby. We have a spare futon for travelers that need a place to crash for a night so feel free to reach out! We are willing to host as long as the timing is right.
