Hi!
Welcome to Fukuoka, Japan! My name is Terumi and my husband Hiro and I have been part of the Couchsurfing community since January 2024! We mostly hosted in 2024, but now in 2025, we are ready to see the world! My husband and I have started our around the world trip and would love to see places through the eyes of the local people. Hence we will not be able to host this year, but would love to meet you as chances are, we may be in your country!

A little bit about us:

I was born in Chiba and I grew up in Tokyo. I spent most of my 20s in Vancouver, Canada where I met my husband, Hiro. We moved to Fukuoka in 2016 and have been advocates of traveling around Japan. We have traveled to 85% of the country so we are very knowledgeable not just around Kyushu but the rest of Japan as well.

Hiro is born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. He has traveled to over 55 countries in the world and is eager to see more! He loves learning about new cultures, languages, and getting to know people.

About our house: (we will not be able to host until we finish our trip and return to Fukuoka)

We live in a 2 bedroom apartment about 10 mins away from the main subway line in a very convenient location. There is a big 24hr supermarket right in front of our house and a bunch of ramen shops nearby. We have a spare futon for travelers that need a place to crash for a night so feel free to reach out! We are willing to host as long as the timing is right.
