Hola!! Voy a escribir una mezcla de español y inglés :)

Me llamo Tess, acabo de volver de Madrid donde estuve aprendiendo español, y me gustaría conocer a gente hispanohablante aquí también. Pero una cosa importante: no uso Couchsurfing para ligar! Así que por favor no me envíes mensajes si eso es tu intención. No tengo intenciones ocultas: me gusta hablar español, me gusta hablar con gente maja, y me gusta conocer a la cultura.

My travelling philosophy:
Like everyone on this site, I am passionate about travelling, but I'm not about covering the most ground or ticking off the most sights in my guidebook. Not that I think this is a bad way to travel, but personally, my most touristy experiences were also my most forgettable. I feel really strongly about immersing myself as much as possible into new cultures, and getting to know places and people I would never usually have encountered. I really cherish the connections and memories I make with the people I meet while travelling, and could reminisce about them for hours!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I lived and travelled in India for 6 months in 2012, volunteering in a small school for disabled children near Varanasi, and teaching 25 adorable 9-year-olds in Kerala. Whilst I know there is a lot to be said about voluntourism, it was hands down the most life-changing experience of my (admittedly short, so far) existence, and taught me not only how magical and diverse India is, but how exciting it is to become totally immersed in a culture. This is where my travelling philosophy really began, and I'm dreaming for when I'll get to return and continue travelling through the many diverse regions!
