About Me
Helloooo potential friends/family! My name is Tess, I'm 18 years old but feel like a different age every day. I do find myself laughing at the jokes of both 60 year olds and 4 year olds, which might be a tad bit concerning.
That being said, humor is my first language, although I've recently started practicing intelligence as i'm going to McGill University in Montreal!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To get to know a place is to get to know the people from that place. I really appreciate the value of experiencing different cultures and lives while making friends at the same time! And of course, if all goes well, you can come and stay with me in NYC :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Grew up listening to jazz, old school hip hop, and alternative. I play violin and piano so classical as well! Recently have gotten more interested in music from around the world, love Brazilian Funk and all salsa music, as well as more smooth electronic artists like KAYTRANADA etc.
Movies: Love me some comedy. Anything that makes me laugh i will enjoy but also into more emotional and serious films too. The list is too long and I cant choose a favorite!
Books: currently reading "The Open Veins of Latin America" or "Las Venas Abiertas de Americalatina" and "One Hundred Years of Solitude". Some favorites have been "Americanah" and "The Kite Runner"
