I want to get gone! Broaden my perspective and be reminded of the many ways to live a life. I want to meet new friends and forge connections in this giant universe. And, logistically, I am abandoning my life in New York this summer in favor of the wide-open unknown. This is as exciting as it is terrifying.

Descending Table Mountain in the face of an impending sunset. We scaled the mountain as the sun ascended---as experienced hikers we were nervous and embarrassed that we had not planned our timing better. But it was an extraordinary hour or so of my life.
