Hi, my name is Tess and I am from rural New South Wales in Australia. I currently live in Wollongong but have moved around a bit in my teenage years. I am giving solo travelling a go this year as I really wanted to challenge myself and get outside of my comfort zone. I absolutely love the outdoors and plan to spend a lot of my time overseas hiking and bouldering. I work as a bartender back home and have a passion for connecting with new people and I am super excited to learn some new things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I thought that couchsurfing would be a great way to meet some like-minded people as well as immerse myself in someone else's way of life. I have never travelled outside of Australia before so I am attracted to the companionship that couchsurfing provides.

My favourite artists are Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin, Mac Miller and Billie Holliday. I love most genres of music and am a big fan of jazz/soul music.

My favourite movies are Stand by me, Leon the professional, The outsiders, Pearl and X. I really enjoy any movie that explores themes regarding growing up.

I am currently reading Siddhartha and am really enjoying that so it is probably my favourite at the moment!
