About Me
Hey all,
cheers for taking the time to read my little pitch.
I'm an easy-going gal - a lover of the quieter moments. I find magic in the way rain feels as it falls in different cities; in the way coffee tastes in cafes filled with the sound of languages other than your own; in the lives of people working in second-hand bookstores tucked into urban corners, and in the moments you find out the difference between a new friend's automatic smile and a genuine one.
My heart feels most at home among the arts, by the ocean and in sexually, culturally and gender diverse spaces. I love conversation and engaging with people, but I also appreciate the power of retreating into a more solo space to recharge.
Tid bits:
- I'm scared of blowing up balloons.
- I am a die-hard roller derby fan.
- Lover of all things Hylian.
- Recently celebrated one year since going vegan.
- I once worked as a cleaner, so you can guarantee I will make my stay worth your while.
- I really wish I was the kind of person who wakes up early in the morning to do yoga, but alas, the world has other plans for me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I had a bit of a turn of luck recently, and the internship I moved to Barcelona for fell through.
I'm working at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August, and intend on settling in Glasgow after that. I'm hoping to find a soft place or two to land for the interim period, while I find my feet - it will be my first time in the UK!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love alternative rock, jazz, and jazz/hiphop or electro/swing kind of blends. For the most part lately though, I've found myself listening to a lot of atmospheric/classical kind of playlists on Spotify... I can find enjoyment in all sorts of music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Depending on your definition of 'amazing'... I once went sand-boarding down the side of a live volcano in Nicaragua... but then again, I also put on pants today.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't have much to teach. But I can facilitate learning and sharing with good conversation and the exchange of stories.
What I Can Share with Hosts
- My stellar cleaning skills;
- I can definitely cook meals/get some meal prep done for you (hint: I make a mean spaghetti);
- I can care for/walk pets; and
- Pour you another glass of wine and add to the general hilarity of your home.
