I am from the Netherlands. I live in a navy town Den Helder, 1,5 hour from Amsterdam. The beach and the tulipfields (the best view is in April) are 15 min away (by bike) from my house. I have an extra bike so you can go for ride by yourself or if you prefer some company, I can join you.The city centre is a 10 min ride (bike) and a good place to go for shopping, go to the rescue museum or the museum about the Navy. If you just want to relax and enjoy the view over the sea and watch the sunset, everything is possible. Just ask for information about the city and I will help you. The train station is nearby so even for day trips to Amsterdam or other places is possible from my place. Just let me know your travel plans.

In Den Helder is an area with nice bars if you would like to drink and party. Everywhere in Holland you can join also festivals.
