About Me

On a mission to create the future of justice. Trained as a lawyer (not practicing) and artist by heart (practicing everyday) I now mix Art and Science to render a better sense of justice.

I am a French poet living in North America. No matter the distance, I remain a lover of croissants & café. I am the humble yet passionate creator of LaViePoeme.com.

I have been writing since that day when I sat on the cramped terrace of the café Les Deux Magôts in Paris and began to fantasize about being a philosopher or writer. I started writing very instinctively and went through a lot of trial and errors until I finally got stylish pieces.

Being trained as a lawyer, I am also working towards bringing more and more creativity to change the way we deal with important situations. I worked for many years in non-profit organizations and being an entrepreneur today is just another way for me to have a social impact using my experience, knowledge and skills.

I love improvisation on stage and in daily life too. I am not a planner. If you want to plan, I will be there and on time. If you want a surprise then follow me into the unknown ! I am easy going, very mindful and respectful of others. People say of me I am extremely resourceful and at all times very poetic! Et voilà!

"Only the bold are lucky" - Danish proverb.

"Inspiration comes of working every day" - Charle Baudelaire

"You must do the things you think you cannot do." - Eleanor Roosevelt

"Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go." - T.S. Eliot

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe in the power of connecting with like-minded people to share about our life experiences, to learn, to grow and to connect more with our own humanity in the awakening of the new Industrial revolution filled with laptops, screens and apps.

I love experiencing new cities and countries as a local, walking as much as I can to grasp the city architecture, its people, its culture. Typically, I LOVE spending a day out in a foreign city eating at a local small restaurant, enter a local book store, walk by the small shops and, of course, share a local drink & apetizer with a view on the city. I would LOVE sharing stories and drinks with locals, get to know my hosts, their friends and family. I believe in the power of connecting with other people, to gain new perspectives, to inspire each other and to understand better what it is to be humanity.

For the past years, I have lived, studied and worked in Montreal Canada. Because of that, I haven't traveled much lately. And I miss it. I used to travel a lot more before I moved to Canada, I used to live in Europe and Africa and visited also some parts of Asia. At the time there was no Counchsurfing! I really want to connect again with other people in the world and travel as a local, that's why I decided to go back to my Counchsurfing account. I am extremely grateful for all of my past hosts, and all of my future hosts.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love reading, listening to music, watching movies and especially documentaries. My favorite movies of all times is : Darjeeling limited. I also LOVE The Grand Budapest Hotel. Meryl Streep in Devil's wear Prada was priceless. My favorite authors include French writers and poets such as Marguerite Duras, Baudelaire, Saint Exupéry and I am such in aw with the epic life of Virginia Woolf.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Blogging for 100 days in a row about poetry ! Every morning I would pick a different poet, publish a piece I selected, and recorded my reading too. I did that everyday, for 100 days. I learnt a lot about the power of using blogs to disseminate good information on the web !

Deciding to live my life as an entrepreneur is certainly something that still amazes me. Everyday I wake up, I somehow still not believe I am doing this for real.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would LOVE to share about my experience as a self-made writer and poet if that could be of interest and how Art can save the world. I am also an entrepreneur, there are a lot of experiences - and mistakes - I can share to anyone interested in becoming an entrepreneur too.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My experiences as an entrepreneur working to having a social impact in our world ; how to get to writer faster pieces with style ; some Spiritual knowledge and Vipassana wiseness.
