Hi there! I’m Teunard, a 27-year-old explorer from the Netherlands. Since embarking on my travel journey in January 2018, I’ve journeyed through 45 countries, driven by the allure of connecting with the myriad of incredible souls across continents. Each trip has led me to form new friendships and immerse in spontaneous adventures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people, host people at my place, and show them a bit more of The Netherlands than only Amsterdam. My tiny country has so much amazing and mind-blowing stuff to offer outside of the (also beautiful) capital. And of course to find myself a place to sleep every now and then.

Music, Movies, and Books

Wide musical taste, you can find me at small folk festivals, but during summers I enjoy a rave at a techno festival as well! Reads a lot but barely finishes a book, cause I end up buying a new interesting book halfway...

I used to be a solo traveler until I met my better half. For me it’s a sport to say goodbye to all the comforts of my daily life back home and push myself to the limits on a tight budget during traveling. I’m glad to share tips and tricks on how to survive your (solo) trip on a tight budget.

Travel schedules, cultural insights and local experiences in loads of countries I’ve traveled so far. Of course the Dutch, English and German language. Also; I’m a developer so for all those (wannabe) geeks here we can do an oldskool coding night.
