ABOUT ME

Most of my friends call me Tex, considering that I grew up in Texas. I have been in Michigan for the past ten years, but I still have the occasional "y'all" or "fixin to" slip into my speech.

I spend a tremendous amount of time around people, and I love having conversations with anyone around me, whether it is a close friend or complete stranger. I'm not one to let awkward silences linger. I definitely need some laughter or conversation to be filling the air when I am around.

I have finally hit a point in my life where I feel capable of being able to travel. It's been a passion of mine for a very long time but never managed to get myself too far from home.

Well, my interests are sort of on the nerdy side of the spectrum. I enjoy history, board games, movies, paintball, fantasy football, excellent beer, great music and good cuisine.

Music, Movies, and Books

Catch 22, Hocus Pocus, Life on the Mississippi, A People's History of the United State of America, I, Robot, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and World War Z are my favorite books.

My favorite movies are: Shawshank Redemption, Tommy Boy, China Town, Brick, and The Thing.

I enjoy many different types of music but a few of my favorite bands/artists to listen to are She & Him, Otis Redding, My Morning Jacket, Daft Punk, and TV on the Radio.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm hoping to really be able to fill this field in with some amazing things soon. But so far I've managed to jump out of a perfectly good plane when I went sky diving.
