About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Search for diverse experiences, meet new people, share passions, and build community
ABOUT ME
I'm from New England and currently study wildlife biology at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst Ma. I love to work with my hands -- anything mechanical -- mopeds, motorcycles, cars, bikes. I enjoy traveling, backpacking, rock climbing, road tripping, urban exploration, reading, and good conversation. What drives me is the ability to live my life dynamically. I find passions and pursue them which often leads me to new endeavors. I am currently taken by the writings on the adventures of Jacque Costeau, motorcycles, and alpinism.
PHILOSOPHY
I work to live a life that starts when I step outside of my comfort zone, I work to be honest, frank, and straightforward with people close to me.I am always trying to continue to make sure I am doing what I love, or working to acheive that passion. I work hard not to let oppourtunities fall by the wayside, no matter how absurd they may seem, or how nervous I am. I shoot to be humble, kind, driven, passionate, honest and committed to doing my best to enjoy and love whatever it is I am doing. From diverse experience comes perspective , and life is simple existence without perspective.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hope to use CS as a tool to step out, to break out, to meet new people, to share experience, gain new experiences, and to develop a broader perspective.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Up to this point, I have had little official couchsurfing experience, but I have spent a lot of time traveling around the US, road tripping, dirtbagging, and climbing. Through this I have made some amazing connections and informally stayed with aquantiances, and have made great new friends.
Interests
I love to work on bikes, mopeds, motorcycles, welding, anything that gets me thinking, and my hands working.I have rebuilt, restored, and modified several antique cars, motorcycles, and mopeds.I have been rock and ice climbing for several years and it has taken my all over the United States, Yosemite, CA, Nevada, Arizona, Alaska, Wyoming, Kentucky.I really enjoy anything that gets me meeting new people, seeing new places, and forces me to step outside of my comfort zone.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the coolest things I have ever done was traveling up to Alaska for summer to work as a mountain guide in a small southeastern Alaskan town. While I was there, I caught giant King Salmon with my bare hands, got into some pretty scary situations in the big mountains, gotten a little too close to some big grizzlies, and spent a lot of time on some giant glaciers.
