About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel South America for 12-14 months, learn to speak Spanish fluently and make as many local friends as possible! I am travelling solo for a long period, so I am looking forward to the challenges that this bring. I purchased a 4WD car in Santiago and so far I have driven 15000km throughout South America. The car is equipped with a roof top camper so I have camped alot in the wild and on beaches, I have many stories to share as a result. I like travelling very slowly through countries, so I can really get to know a place and it's people in depth. Best way is to meet locals, which is what has brought me to Couch surfing.
ABOUT ME
Friendly, talkative, not a morning person, enjoys going out, has two left feet on the dancefloor, travelled far and wide (but not far and wide enough), have an unusual south african and australian hybrid accent that most foreigners cannot place, dont like cats, like dogs, love a good book, vegetarian for four years now a carnivore, love mountains, fjords and the great outdoors, love to tell a good story, dont smoke cigarettes. Absolutely crazy about photography.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have couchsurfed a few times many years ago and it was a terrific experience. My friends and I have also entertained many couchsurfers in Sydney, Australia.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Havent done that much couchsurfing, but all the best travel experiences I have had have been the result of meeting and hanging out with locals. Cant think of a better way to meet locals then through CS.
Interests
- Brewing beer. My mates reckon I make an awesome pale ale.- Partying and eating out in Sydney very regularly with my like minded-friends.- Meeting my mates hungover on a hot Sunday morning in Sydney for a greasy brekafast. - Going to the many beaches in Sydney as often as I can.-- I enjoy cooking up a serious storm.- Watching all those sports which are probably not televised in your country i.e. cricket, rugby and australian rules football. I have recently got obsessed with photography and have taken 1000s of pictures in south america.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most magical experiences was finding a man in a small town in Morocco who invited me into his home on the beach. This was not an ordinary home though, he had carved himself a cave out of the rockface and lived in darkness inside the cave. He had a small bed, small stove and a prayer mat. We shared a mint tea while the waves crashed against the walls of his cave. Aamzing.
