About Me

When I was 18 years old I decided I needed to see a little further than the beautiful landscapes of my country, so I ventured to study abroad in the US. Currently at 20, I am excited to be spending a year abroad studying in England. Who would have guessed the adventure-loving, easy-going Bolivian girl would come to find it increasingly hard to stay in a single place any longer, right? My love for traveling, languages, and cultures has led me down a few interesting paths, and I am always ready to take anyone up on the offer to go to new places.

I also really want to encourage anyone looking for adventures in South America to consider Couch-surfing here. It's one of the hidden gems of the Andes region, and you cannot miss out on a journey to the Uyuni Salt Flats. (Look them up, you won't be disappointed. Trust me.)
I don't think I have fully unpacked a suitcase in the past 5 months--I hope this book-loving, movie -enthusiast can find a corner in your couch.
So here's to hopefully bringing little bit of my own of my Latin American roots to your home, to sharing meals over sunny afternoons, to relating our stories over mugs of our favorite coffee and pastries. I hope you can picture a young Bolivian girl in your own living room, curly hair in disarray.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As soon as I realized I had breaks in between my academic terms that are as long as 6 weeks, I knew I wanted to make use of that time to immerse myself in another culture, fulfill a few more of my dreams, and meet fantastic people.
I wouldn't sign up to do anything that I wouldn't want to offer up myself, so I'm just looking for an easy going Couch-surfer like myself that will possibly in the future consider coming to Bolivia. This is one of the main reasons I want to Couchsurf. If anyone with the same passion to travel, yet limited budget, and equal enthusiasm can relate, I think we are on the same page!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music taste varies wildly :) I can go from anything like my beloved latin american salsa tunes to rapping out to Eminem and enjoying techno music.

Ah, books. "A song of Ice and Fire" "The Lord of the Rings" "1984" quite the classics!

Movies go along with the books so, Lord of the Rings (and the Hobbit), 3 idiots (Indian film), and anything that can keep me awake, really.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Anyone who's traveled or lived abroad knows it is not easy to maintain any type of relationships long-distance. I pride myself in being able to be half way across the world and still retain the beautiful friendships I've formed throughout the years. The fact that I can come home at any given time and still find these amazing people beside me is no small feat, in my opinion :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd love to share a bit of my Bolivian roots with my hosts, from cooking traditional dishes, to teaching latin american dances, or some of the languages. I also love exchanging great-books great-movies titles with anyone I meet!
