About Me

I was studying control and automation engineering in one of the best Universities in Brasil just a few months ago until I had the oportunity to study in Australia for one year for free. It was a huge change in my life, as the closest thing I had done until then was being a tour guide in the US when I was 18. Besides the academic part I have been to a lot of places since I came to Canberra in Australia, and the views there are wonderful. Now I came here to Europe to visit my sister and my mother, but I have only been to Hamburg, Berlin, London, but I still have 9 more days here to explore Germany (and maybe some close countries).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

All the trips I did in the past six months were with my friends and I met a lot of people from all around the world, which was an amazing experience. Now I wanted to try something that I never did before which is to travel alone. But even though it's nice to make things on my own, deciding everything I want to do, it gets really lonely and it can be very hard to meet new people out of the blue, so my sister suggest me to do Couchsurfing, as her friends gave her a good feedback about the experience.

Interests

I like sports and to watch games, but I'm not a fan of anything (to the point of knowing the name of players or stuff like). I LOVE talking about trips, to discover new places, trying new kinds of food, and if possible to help other people see the same things I did. If possible, I wanted a host that want to share things, besides a couch to sleep in.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite music always change with time, but I'd say that now it's Rude from Magic. I like musics, not bands, so my top 25 musics are pretty random.

My favourite book serie is Harry Potter and my favourite movie serie is Toy Story. Besides having really good stories, I could identify myself with them, as I started reading Harry Potter when I was 11 (I'm still waiting for my letter!) and Toy Story 1 was the first movie I saw in the cinema when I was a child, and I was going to Uni when I saw Toy Story 3 in the cinema.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went as a tour guide to California (US) for a month for a bunch (around 60) of 16-18 year old students when I was 18 even though I had neve been there! I still want to go to Las Vegas again now that I'm over 21. Now I'm 22 and being sponsored to study in Australia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I didn't know what I wanted to work with in my life. That's why I left everything I knew in Brazil and started experiencing new things around the world. Now I not only don't know what I want to do as I also don't know where I want to live, so now I'm just enjoying this year as I'll probably never have another opportunity like that in the future, to be free to get to know new cultures, places, views, and meet new people. I'm just getting read for anything that I may want to do some day (because I know I want to be an engineer, I just don't know in which are I want to work), but I'm not worrying to the point I can't enjoy things as they go.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My experience of all the places I've been, money for the stay if needed, and the presence of my fluffy Penguin.
