Overview
About Me
Hi people! I'm Thalia (she/her) , a queer 25 year old student from Greece, that recently moved from her village to the co-capital (yes it's a thing here)
Come visit, can't wait to meet you! 👾
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Growing up in Greek province isn't dreamy at all, no myth to live there. I didn't really have the opportunity to expose myself to different people, cultures and circumstances, so now I am eager to travel, meet new people, listen to their unique and beautiful stories, exchange ideas and perspectives, and see new places not with the attitude of a tourist, but rather experience them through the eyes of those who call and feel those places "home".
Interests
I love music. I can play a couple of instruments and I actually regret not bringing even a ukelele with me. I've been teaching myself greek bouzoúki for the last 2 years or so, I can share with you some of my favourite rebétiko songs. Please share your playlists with me.
I try to prolong my attention span, I really miss reading a book for hours straight. I also write a little myself.
I miss doing theatre, but you can catch me dancing at 3 am in my bedroom being at an imaginary panigýri.
Oh and I religiously go to therapy. ✨

Music, Movies, and Books
"I saw my life branching out before me like the green fig tree in the story. From the tip of every branch, like a fat purple fig, a wonderful future beckoned and winked. One fig was a husband and a happy home and children, and another fig was a famous poet and another fig was a brilliant professor, and another fig was Ee Gee, the amazing editor, and another fig was Europe and Africa and South America, and another fig was Constantin and Socrates and Attila and a pack of other lovers with queer names and offbeat professions, and another fig was an Olympic lady crew champion, and beyond and above these figs were many more figs I couldn't quite make out. I saw myself sitting in the crotch of this fig tree, starving to death, just because I couldn't make up my mind which of the figs I would choose. I wanted each and every one of them, but choosing one meant losing all the rest, and, as I sat there, unable to decide, the figs began to wrinkle and go black, and, one by one, they plopped to the ground at my feet."
Sylvia Plath, The Bell Jar
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Taking part in a program to form a Drama Group in prison and do theatre activities with the inmates.
Teach, Learn, Share
It's all about creating little moments of being present, genuinely and kindly humane in this absolute shi*hole of a world.
