About Me

Gratitude! Thanks for taking the time. I'm in the process of redefining my life on my terms, so last year I quit my job in Australia and moved to England and France and I'm a few weeks away from becoming an Irish citizen thanks to my granddad, so soon Europe will become home.

I like learning from past mistakes, being sparked by new encounters, biking, hiking, cooking vegan food, exploring new places, designing solutions to problems, reading non-fiction (mostly) and a dash of riveting fiction from time-to-time, learning new skills and approaches, conversations (deep and meaningful preferably), nature's many wonders, an occasional festival and a whole lot more!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm currently in Europe and have been moving between England, France and Berlin until my Irish passport arrives. Once I get my passport and official citizenship I may settle somewhere?

I have heard great things about couch-surfing and spent time with a bunch of fun-loving couch-surfers in Nelson, New Zealand and it was glorious. They had the most amazing pad and I remember being inspired at the time, now all these years later I have the chance to try it for myself.

Music, Movies, and Books

What a tough decision! I cannot answer this question! Different music, books and movies for different phases, stages and occasions.

I can say that Steppenwolf by Herman Hesse forever changed my view on fiction. I just adore that novel!
I can say that The Celestine Prophecies changed my life course at age 17.
I am lazy with music nowadays, so I listen solely to podcasts. I actually just listen to one Russian techno podcast now, because most of the time I listen to podcast interviews. I'm obsessed with learning!
Movies... The Butterfly Effect, Fight Club, Inception and Waking Life in no particular order, but The Labyrinth was my favourite when I was a kid.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wrote and recorded a Hip-Hop album in my 20s.

I've driven from the bottom to the top and many roads in between in my home country New Zealand, plus I have jumped off the iconic Sky Tower in Auckland.

I felt pretty amazing the day I told my employer that I didn't want, or need her cushy lifelong secure contract, because I value freedom more than security.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a qualified English teacher and I'm happy to teach others.

I'd love to develop my French language.

I'm a vegan food blogger and a whizz in the kitchen and I am happy to teach you and I can cook for groups as big as 12.

If you could teach me anything I would be delighted, because I am genuinely interested in everything and everyone.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a qualified English teacher and I'm happy to teach others.

I'm a vegan food blogger and a whizz in the kitchen and I am happy to cook and share for groups as big as 12.

I have many stories from a life well-lived in four different countries and I'm an open book if you're interested?

I'm a poet, lyricist, wordsmith and writer and I could pen some custom words for you if you wish.

I have a considerable amount of knowledge and experience with the esoteric arts and the spiritual side of life. I don't subscribe to any particular doctrine, but instead I have explored a smorgasbord in my lifetime and I would be happy to share my experiences. I can also read numerology and astrological natal charts.

I'm no stranger to a mop, a broom, a vacuum, or a dish cloth. I'm happy to chip in and do my share and your share too if need be.
