Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling and meeting people, but I'm often too shy and anxious to start a conversation with strangers. I hope by joining Couchsurfing I could make more friends and gain colorful experiences by interacting with others.

Interests

I love watching movies, my recent obsession is East Asian cinema. Music is another big interest of mine, though I'm absolutely horrible at naming bands and artists. I also love long, deep conversations that go beyond small talks - tell me your big dark secret, what keeps you up at night, what's your favorite conspiracy theory etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favories movies include anything done by Wong Kar Wai, Wes Anderson and Quentin Tarantino. I'm also into East Asian gems such as Japanese animations and Chinese martial art movies. My guilty pleasures comprise of pop culture references like Mean Girls, Scott Pilgrim versus the World, Game of Thrones, Modern Family and Marvel movies.

There is no particular genre of music that I'm against, as long as there's a soulful connection. I'm up for any kinds of fun music-related experiences. My favorite artists vary from Jay Chou to Daft Punk and Damien Rice, to name a few.

Pushing myself out of my comfort zone & travel to places that I would not imagine myself going.
