About Me

Hi

We are a small family with my husband and my daughter and me.
We love to meet people around the world. We will let you know the beauty of Mekong life.
We arrange for you a small house next to our house. It is next to Mekong river and about 2.1 km from Ninh Kieu Quay.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Thanks to a Singaporian guy, I know about this website and join in. He showed me a lot of intersting things about this program.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Before joining in Couch Surfing, I was a volunteer at an English Club, Coach For College program celebrated by Duke University. I took American students, a Singapore man and an Australia researcher to travel around Cantho City. Thanks to them, I know about Couchsurfing and join in.

I have guided many couchsurfers. Thanks to them, I also had a chance to discover and understand more about my home land and the Vietnamese culture. ^^ The most memorable time was when I traveled around Cantho City with an Italian guy and two other French girls! We went to floating market and canals on Hau river, enjoyed local fruits! We also took some cute photos as memory for our trip. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The amazing thing I used to do was to travel to Phu Quoc Island only with my friend. Well, my parents objected to my trip because they thought I would meet the storms, thiefs, ect. However, I did keen on going there with the belief that Phu Quoc was a very interesting place. I imagined about the beach, the jungles, about the seafood that I would enjoy.

Traveling by motorbike was quiet different from taking a tour. I enjoyed going sightseeing, swimming, stopped at wherever and left whenever I wanted. My trip did not depend on any tour guide. I also met local people, enjoyed local foods, and swimming. That was the most wonderful trip I've had in my life.

The second thing I did is to visit Phu My grassland conservation project in Phu My commute - Kien Giang province when I joined in voluntary work.
It is near Combodian border and the countryside there is definitely amazing. I also saw the sarus there in the early morning and the people made the handmade things by grass. If you want to visit there, just tell me. My friends work for Phu My lepironia grassland project and they can host you guys for free and take you go around the area.

I can send the pictures through email to you if you want.
