Hiya Friends!

My name is Kortney! I'm a Colorado girl, but I am currently living and working in Pahang, Malaysia. I'm here assistant teaching English through the Fulbright program, but really Math and Physics are my jam. I also love to travel, but as I am still recovering from those college loans (*ouch), I am psyched to find a site like this that not only fosters cultural exchange but helps us poor travellers get further!

Oh my goodness I love music. All kinds. My new favorite Artist is CNCO (check out their collaborative song called DJ). I am also very into the Lumineers lately.

I love to watch Kids movies, like, anytime. All time classics include Mulan, Aladdin, Megamind, Tangled, Big Hero 6, How to Train your Dragon, and the Emperor's New Groove.

In the realm of adult movies, I recently watched Ten Things I Hate About You for the first time, and that was a fantastic movie. I also love The Tourist, Warm Bodies, The Last Samurai, Gladiator, August Rush, Pirates of the Caribbean, and any movie I can watch with friends (barring scary movies).

Ugh, I love to read and I have so many books. Lets just say I am currently reading a book called Beautiful Outcast. Some of my all time favorites include Blue Like Jazz, Tattoos on the Heart, Redeeming Love, the Irresistible Revolution, How to Change the World, Pride and Prejudice, Mere Christianity, and Harry Potter.

As far as teaching goes, I am happy to share what I know, if you are interested. I often teach guitar, I am currently teaching English, and I have taught Volleyball.

I can share stories, a bright, sunny attitude, my passions, and I would love to share a good meal with anyone kind enough to host me! I would love to help out around the house, if thats something you'd be interested in: at home I am famous for doing the dishes and feeding the chickens. I also would love to get to know you or share things about my hometown or other places I've been.
