ABOUT ME

I live in the Bay Area. I grew up in Nashville, but have lived all over. I spend my time reading, writing, practicing yoga, meditating, cooking, teaching, creating, and loving. My interests include whole foods, nutrition, vegan cooking, healthy living, gardening, sprouting, composting, hiking, backpacking, dancing, sewing, crochet, paper arts, poetry, rituals, full moons (moons of any sort really), candles, good music, farms, dinner parties, bare feet, energy work, getting in touch with my higher self, asking questions, travel, and especially adventure.

My couch has always been open to passers-by, and I have gotten by in quite a few places myself on other people's generosity.

The Mists of Avalon (Bradley), The Kushel Series (Carey), Song of Ice and Fire Series (Martin), Siddhartha (Hesse), all things Richard Bach, Joseph Campbell, Paulo Coehlo. I also enjoy The Awakening (Chopin), Surfacing (Atwood), and several things Erica Jong. I adore Kundera, Kafka, Nietzsche, Rilke, Gibran, etc. I could go on.
As for music, I like a lot of different stuff, but tend to typically listen to mostly electronica, dubstep, drum and bass, or other stuff with awesome beats. Beats Antique, Amon Tobin, Pentaphobe, Natasha Atlas, Portishead, Lamb, Bassnectar, Thievery Corporation, Muse, and Pinback come to mind. Also, The XX, Tori Amos, Bat for Lashes, Fiona Apple, A Perfect Circle, Tool, Radiohead, Jenny Owen Youngs, Psapp, Dead Can Dance, and so on.
AS for movies, my all time fave is Dead Man. I also enjoy all things Kevin Spacey. And I Heart Huckabees, Requiem for a Dream, Dancer in the Dark, Clint Eastwood Spaghetti Westerns, Shawshank Redemption, and anything that is really, truly funny.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moved forward in spite of fear.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a lot about nutrition, food, vegan cooking, healthy eating, making herbal remedies, bellydance and sewing. I can write you a poem, or teach you how to tell what phase the moon is in.
As for what I want to learn, that's everything. :)
