I'm a bass player from Long Beach Island NJ. Living on a barrier island is a very creative experience. There are a lot of personalities and passionate people. Most of my friends are artists and musicians honing their craft and creating opportunities for people to express themselves. I surf and shuck clams when I'm not playing or producing music.

Recently I read the essay Shooting an Elephant by George Orwell. It gave me an interesting perspective on life and the fine line between freedom and prison.

Teach, Learn, Share

Last summer I taught skimboarding to kids. I once had a private lesson with 3 yr old and whew was that exhausting keeping him engaged! Overall great experience and reminder to always look for the silver lining. It makes life much easier!

I can teach ya how to shuck clams and oysters, or hang a picture, or surf even but i cant rock climb for shit. 😅 That said shucking in particular has taught me a lot in my adult life and I love passing on the skill!
