ABOUT ME

I graduated with a music ed degree in 1998, then found I couldn't do anything with that besides teach! (go figure!) Not wanting to settle down right away and become a spinsterly old school-marme at the age of 23, I decided to go see the world...and I ended up in China. I lived in Hangzhou for 5 years, in Anhui Province for a year, and in Shanghai for a year before moving on...I came back to the U.S. 2 years ago and studied Music Therapy and Music Education at the University of Georgia - graduated December 2010. After graduating, I went to Chicago for a 6-month internship in hospice care (tough job), went back to China to teach for a year, and now am in Raleigh as a practicing music therapist.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I put "maybe" on my couch availability status because I still need to convince my new roommate how cool couchsurfing is. Will change the status once I know she's okay with surfers coming over.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed myself only a few times - once in NYC, once in Atlanta, and once in Chicago. All of my experiences have been good! I've hosted 3 people and met another few for coffee and/or dinner.
