Why I’m on Couchsurfing
City girl looking to explore life beyond the tech bubble.
"You gotta go after the things you want while you're still in your prime." -Avenue Q
Due to budget constraints, I'm trying to keep my future traveling endeavors on the mainland. Here's my bucket list:
Salt Lake City
*anywhere in Maine
"The world is still a weird place, despite my efforts to make clear and perfect sense of it." -Hunter S. Thompson
reading, writing, going on adventures, staying up late, waking up early, chugging massive quantities of water, hearing your stories, calling you out, making new friends
... I should probably mention I'm vegan. But I'm not a dick about it! I'd like to eat together. (So long as you don't mock me for ordering a salad.)
- farmers' market
- live music
Music, Movies, and Books
I can't tell you now! It'd spoil all the fun when we met. (Seriously - is my affinity for Hemingway going to determine whether you host me or not?! ;D) But really, we can exchange Top 5's over a few beers if you're so inclined. (If you get that reference, I know we're going to get along just fine!)
"It's not what you like but what you are like that's important." -Nick Hornby
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was a grocery store cashier, Ghostface Killah of Wu-Tang Clan came through my line. I kicked him out because he had more than 12 items. (His entire posse laughed at me.)
Teach, Learn, Share
I make damn good vegan mac 'n' cheese. (Trust me, you'll like it.) I've always wanted to learn how to rap. Maybe you can teach me?
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can't host anyone due to awkward San Francisco living arrangements. Sorry. :( (My landlord lives upstairs. He's not too keen on random visitors.) I'm happy to meet up and show you around. I'm told I make an *excellent* tour guide. ;)
