To bring people together and create a couch surfing community

ABOUT ME

The Island is our share house - currently 5 people live here.

We each do our own thing and have different personalities but we all get along quite well. Some of us study, some of us work.

Our project for the house is to create a couch surfing community in Perth. Most of us living in the house have recently moved to Perth ourselves, so our social networks are not incredibly extensive; we are all outgoing people. Our hope is to create a fun and warm environment for couch surfers. We like to think this house is a couch surfing family.

The House can be a crazy or chilled place, depending on the time and the people. We have a chill room thats serves a variety of purposes, including jamming, cards and dancing. We have random bbqs, outings, and anything really goes in our house. We also have little projects going on around the house, giving a hand is encouraged and your ideas are always welcome. We enjoy our family dinners, inclusive of couch surfers, rotating who cooks each night.

But also understand that we may not necessarily be able to show you around perth, as such. The theory goes that there should be people around to venture with, it just may not be us. In saying this, if our schedule is free, we would be more than happy to show you around. We have also created a book to the aid couch surfers about things that are around perth.
