ABOUT US

The five of us used to live in a wonderful loving intentional community house in Port Townsend, WA. Now we're scattered about - 2 in Bellingham, 2 on Vashon Island and one remaining in Port Townsend. But we will be reuniting as The Buoy once again for our upcoming epic road trip in our new friend, Merve, a 1970's RV that Chauncey and Aliina now call home.

The lot of us love to meet new people, cook, dance, bicycle, and support each other's dreams. Sadie is into circus arts & dancing, Chauncey fathered the non-profit community cycling center 'The ReCyclery' and is now a full time student in Bellingham, Sarah does freelance graphic design and illustration and LOVES all things dance, and Aliina is an artist and lover of nature. Shawn is a Structural Integration Bodyworker, circus arts practitioner and musician. We all do so much more, but those are our main gigs now.

We are well connected with the dancing community, arts, and non-profit circles. We're all passionate about communication, community building, sustainable & healthy living and local slow food. We're also all thoroughly addicted to sugar, though some of us are trying to quit ;-)

HOW WE PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We no longer have our collective home, but we'll hopefully be visiting wonderful and interesting folks this August when we adventure in our new temporary home, Merve, the RV.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some of us have done quite a bit of couch surfing, but most of have been hosts more than anything. We love meeting locals and getting the insider scoop and not having to the tourist thing.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Collectively, I think that the most amazing thing we've done is to create our beautiful community that nurtured and supported us all so incredibly. We came together with this idea to live intentionally - to create a supportive atmosphere for each other that would allow us all to expand our gifts and talents into the community around us and to, in turn, help it grow. It worked wonderfully for 5 years until we all had to split up. We plan to create a second intentional community together in the future, once we're all ready to settle a bit more.
