Olá! Meu nome é Thea, sou dos Estados Unidos, do estado do Carolina do Norte, e faz cinco meses que estou mochilando pelo nordeste do Brasil; comecei na Bahia e pretendo ir até Amazonas! Estou totalmente apaixonada pelo Brasil- as diversas culturas, a música, dança, comida, e o povo..até gostaria de morar aqui kkk. Eu viajo para sair da minha bolha, conhecer pessoa diferentes de mim com diferentes experiências da vida, e ter essa rica troca cultural.
Também amo falar português e melhorar meu português- especialmente gosto de aprender gírias novas :)
No meu tempo livre eu gosto de ler, escrever, cozinhar, fazer yoga e passar tempo na natureza fazendo trilha. Eu sou aventureira e sempre topo um rolê novo!

My name's Thea, I'm from the US, the state of North Carolina, in the Smoky Mountains, and I love hiking in nature, traveling and meeting new people! One of the greatest parts for me of travel is the spontaneous connections with new people that I’d never have met otherwise, and getting the chance to learn about their culture and home state/ country. It always leaves me feeling inspired. In my free time I like to spend time outside, read and write, play music and hang out with friends. I also love an adventure and am always down to try things outside my comfort zone :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Quero conhecer as pessoas locais dos lugares onde eu vou, em vez de só conhecer outros turistas/ viajantes. Eu acho Couchsurfing uma forma muito legal para fazer amizades novas e ter uma troca cultural.

I couchsurfed a bit in Spain with a close friend, we stayed with some lovely people and it was amazing- it's been a year since then and I'm still friends with the hosts we stayed with. Couchsurfing is an awesome way to meet new people and make friends and when I travel to a new place, I want to get to know the locals rather than just hanging out with other tourists, and I think Couchsurfing is one of the best ways to do that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

peguei um barco pelo Rio Amazonas, fiz o Camino de Santiago (uma trilha de um mês que percorre o litoral de Espanha), conheci Machu Pichou,…muitas coisas- a vida é incrível!

Gosto de cozinhar e fazer doces, acredito que a comida sabe melhor quando seja compartilhada
