About Me

Hi — I’m Thea from China.😉
I'm new here but I promise you won't be disappointed! I would be a tiny sparkle to light up your couch-hosting experience🥰

I’m currently on a gap-year backpacking loop through Eurasia and Africa, filming little vlogs along the way(vlogger haha!). 📷

I’m outgoing, friendly and I have a super bright smile! I'm nice to every one and I love making friends and sharing stories.

Hope to see you soon! ❤️

( I really wish I could upload some videos on this app so that you could know more about me😔😔
feel Free to reach out. I will be more than delighted to send you a self-introduction video!! GIRLS ONLY)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I want to meet real people, not just see sights. Couchsurfing helps me hear personal stories, learn local routines, and make friends who turn a trip into something deeper.

Interests

I love capturing small everyday moments — a street scene, a chat over tea, a sunrise hike. Markets and local music make me happiest. Staying with hosts helps me go beyond sightseeing and actually learn how people live and what matters to them.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Afro music — the beat makes me move and I can’t help dancing.
Books/Movies: I like travel essays and gentle documentaries about daily life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

✨✨✨✨✨✨
In the summer of 2025, me as a 21-year-old who had never been abroad, made a very bold decision: go to America alone and work for three months.
The flight was 28 hours long and had to fly all the way through the Pacific Ocean.

Turns out it was the best decision I’ve ever made.
I did an amazing job at work — my colleagues and boss all wanted me to come back next year.
During the stay, I also traveled to big cities such as Boston and New York with the money that I made.
Most importantly—I made a lot of truly amazing friends. We explored many places, shared laughs and tears, and we still send each other photos and messages long after I returned.

This is an incredible and unforgettable experience. It also gives me the courage to start my gap-year solo backpacking loop across Eurasia and Africa.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: basic Mandarin phrases and simple tips for phone vlogging/shot composition.
Learn: cultures, local activities, music, and everyday life from hosts.
Share: I’ll happily share photos and short clips of our time together (only if you want), and I can help bring souvenirs from countries I pass through.

What I Can Share with Hosts

• I’m a respectful guest and I’ll follow your house rules.
• I always keep places tidy and put things back where they belong — I won’t leave any trouble behind.
• I’m not much of a cook, but I’m happy to buy small things or treat you to a meal as a thank-you.
• I can help with small errands or tidy-up tasks.
• I take photos — if you want, I can take nice pictures of you/your family/your city and send digital copies.
• I can bring back small souvenirs from countries on my route if you’d like.

Countries I’ve Visited

Armenia, Azerbaijan, China, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Thailand, United States, Uzbekistan
