ALL about me? Impossible. I am 48, gay, male, and looking forward to seeing the world. I have lived in the UK for a year while completing a Masters Degree, and recently finished a year in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam followed by 18 months in Boracay, Philippines.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to meet others, be a good host, learn from the "stories on the road" and then make my own journey. I've been reading blogs, and been turned on to this site by some who have had great things to say about it. I want to be a part of this large global story!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hrm... I don't think I've had any, per se. I've lived in the UK for a year as a renter, and from there traveled many countries is western Europe. I've always preferred to be more traveler and less tourist. I think that's what I like about this project.

I read a lot of trade literature on teaching, but when I get the time, I like a sarcastic, satirical work to laugh at. Or a breezy, easy fiction.

Algo increíble que he hecho

At 30, I left California and moved to the UK. I made a friend on the internet, moved in as his flatmate, and had the BEST year ever. I want to repeat something like that without being tied to one city.
Since then, I've traveled to China, Thailand, Costa Rica, Nicaragua. I want to get deeper into South America and eventually Africa.

I'm new, so I'm mostly here to learn. And then I will share what I learn. Which means I will teach. Which is what I do. Learn... and teach.
