CURRENT MISSION: Stories to tell my future grandkids
ABOUT ME: I grew up in Boston and love it still. Even though I've traveled and lived many other places, this has always been home.
In 2014 I spent a year living in Belo Horizonte in Brasil, and in 2007 I spent a year in India all across the country. I have also lived across the US: Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York City, Dallas, Denver, Jackson, and New Orleans.
Here in Boston, I started an NGO which I have led for 5 years called theMOVE (farmvolunteer.org), which takes city youth out to local farms to learn about the labor and land that sustain us. I also co-own a real estate company which builds and redevelops houses, and also manages rental apartments.
The truth is, I enjoy staying still more than I like to travel. I used to just hop from city to city, looking for adventures, and it was amazing, and sometimes I still do. Nowadays though, I prefer to immerse myself in places, spend time getting connected with them -- seeking out the adventures that are embedded everywhere.
LIFE PHILOSOPHY: Serve and be served
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on CS to meet people from all across the world who share a passion for knowledge and connection. I've couchsurfed in the US + India + Brazil, and have used CS to meet some great friends all over as well. I've also hosted a good number of people in Boston. CS is incredible!
I like hearing people's stories, I like telling stories. I like random nights of chatting with good people till late late hours of the night. I like conversation that gets me see things differently. I'm a workaholic -- I really enjoy being productive. I like wandering around random cities (if you ask me what to do in Boston, the #1 thing I'll tell you is to walk around!). I like watching and playing soccer/futebol. I like to dance, especially with folks who have rhythm and a sense of humor.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When we were little, my sister and I would take swigs of Coke/7UP/etc and then flip upside down against the wall and let it dribble into our noses, and then laugh like crazy. I'm sure it was a good idea at the time.
