About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To expand our minds, enrich our souls, and serve others through exploration of the world.

ABOUT US

We are adventurous, inquisitive, and vivacious. We are life-long learners who pursue discovery and try to gain knowledge however we can.

PHILOSOPHY

It is our goal to live a slow, intentional life in which we actually engage in and experience the life we live instead of letting it slip by in busyness. Life is worthy of our engagement, and we want to focus on relationships, experiences, and discovery. We aspire to be courageous enough to pursue our dreams even if those dreams aren't the popular path, and even if that pushed us outside of paradigms. We also pursue personal growth and the growth of our marriage passionately, and we are conscious to give of ourselves to others and not just take.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are currently traveling long-term so we do not have the ability to offer ourselves as hosts yet. We do hope to host when we have the opportunity once our long-term travel concludes.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We are new to couch surfing, but we are excited to meet new people and experience new places. We have used AirBNB extensively in our travels so far, and we are looking forward to the couch surfing experience!

Interests

We love to travel. We enjoy playing sports and being involved in competition. We have two dogs (who are not traveling with us), and we love spending time with them. We enjoy cooking, especially together. Learning and discovering new things is a passion, and along with that, exploring new places. Meeting new people and engaging with them and learning about their lives is so fun and worth the time invested. We really appreciate what others' lives have to offer.

Music, Movies, and Books

We enjoy an eclectic mix of entertainment. Our bookshelves and music libraries are littered with different genres and subjects. We try to be open to all kinds of different types because most everything has at least something to offer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Caleb is fortunate enough to have seen the complete blackness of the middle of the ocean at night with dazzling stars scattered through the sky. He has also traveled all over the world working and training with multicultural forces.
Danielle has worked in Washington, D.C. lobbying Congress.
We have both swam with sea lions and stingrays through kelp forests in California.

Teach, Learn, Share

Caleb can teach others to juggle. :-) We are both sailors and can help others learn to sail.

We have traveled continuously for about eight months so we have travel knowledge and experiences to share.

We are thirsty for knowledge and would love to learn almost anything that is offered. :-)

What I Can Share with Hosts

What a big question! We think that really depends more on the hosts and less on us. We can cook, share our sets of skills our our stories and experiences and ourselves, we can help others with their English, all kinds of things!
