ABOUT ME

Hey I'm Hector. I was born in Lima Peru, but I've lived in the United States for 14 years now. I live in Utah right now. I study Biology and Economics at the University of Utah. Music traveling and movies are passions of mine.

PHILOSOPHY

Just get to know me. Basically though, be relaxed, take everything in stride. Live in a way that doesn't hurt, rather helps those around you. "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." It's cheesy but true.

It's been amazing, there is nothing quite like it, the best way to travel and meet some awesome people. You have opportunities to learn so many more things about culture and lifestyle through couchsurfing. It's a backpacker's ideal.

I love everything soccer, basketball, music, guitar, biology, animals, wakeboarding, hiking, backpacking, etc. I love to travel, Reading, and volunteering are also big parts of my life.

Too much music, I don't even know where to begin. I really like independent dramas or travel movies. Before Sunrise was really good. Big fan of Garden State and movies along that genre. I watched the movie Machuca recently and would recommend it to anyone. Bookswise, I'm reading Love in the Time of Cholera right now, great read. I also liked The Count of Monte Cristo and Crime and Punishment. Mario Vargas Llosa has been on my desk lately, as well as Jose Carlos Mariategui.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

First enrolled in college when I was 14. Saw Machu Pichuu, felt like a tourist in my home country. I went on a trip to the Amazon Area of Peru and it was the most amazing experience I have ever had, I can't wait to go back again.

I don't know... Hmm well I've lived in many different social classes, in Peru, in California, in small cities and big cities, been through all sorts of different religions, cultures, etc. I would love to share experiences with anyone. Also I can teach you English and Spanish, but I wouldn't be comfortable trying to teach someone French!
